On June 6th Daree Colon and Henrica Bresil walked across the dais at Tsongas Arena to receive their diplomas as part of the Andover High School class of 2011. As president Mary Pritchard summarized, "This is what it is all about!" Everyone in attendance enjoyed the happy scene with many emotions overflowing. The ABC cheering section was about 35 people strong with many of Daree and Henrica's family members in attendance. "We were a proud group", exclaimed Pritchard.
After the graduation family and ABC staff, board members and scholars headed to the Olive Garden for a celebratory evening; a great opportunity to meet the family members of the two seniors. Pritchard said that both Daree and Henrica were on Cloud Nine throughout both events, as were their families and members of the ABC community who also attended. Andover A Better Chance has officially graduated 129 ABC scholars since 1967!
